Description

This interactive packet is just what you need and your students will love to cover a wide variety of standards-aligned questions on any piece of fiction reading!

This packet includes 60 QR Code Cards that are full of a range of questions! They are broken into before, during, and after reading questions and focus specifically on nonfiction reading and comprehension strategies.

Each QR code features adorable reading monsters and an smartphone image with a QR Code inside. Students can use any QR reader (available as a free app on any tablet or smartphone) to scan the code that will pull up a numbered question.

Students will use the included recording sheet to write down the question number and answer the question based on their reading. Perfect for differentiation and year-long use since these questions work with ANY NONFICTION book or passage!

The last two pages are for teacher reference and include every numbered question broken into topics. Cards are included to be covers or bin labels, depending on how you want to store these. I like to bind them with a binder ring with the cover, or you could also store these in a bin from the Dollar Store and use the cover as a label-- lots of possibilities!

Great for use in:
- setting a purpose for reading
- book talks
- informal assessments
- partner conversations
- research
- weekly nonfiction readers (Scholastic News, TFK, etc.)
- Guided Reading
- fast finisher station
- Daily 5
- and more!!

These work perfectly with my top-selling Nonfiction Text Features pack available HERE.
